As school is beginning Monday the 18th, a reminder that all band members are expected to attend the after school rehearsals from 3:00 to 4:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Students also expected to stay after school on Fridays for rehearsal, dinner and the football game. Once the game is finished we will return to the PAC to put our instruments away, clean up and dismiss. This is usually 9:15 if it is a home game and closer to 10 pm if we are away.
Pre-camp rehearsals have been going well, and I’m pleased that we’ll have at least 45 band members this year, up 5 from last year! Just a reminder to turn in all forms for camp (including page 2 of the medical form that did not make it into the mailing earlier this month.) Please have students to school no later than 7:15 Monday morning, and we should be back Saturday between Noon 12:30.

The concert band will again be performing at the Central Catholic commencement on May 22nd. Students should be here no later than 6 p.m., and we should be finished around 9 p.m. Dress will be the standard concert attire (black and white.)
The annual band banquet will be held on Thursday May 15th at 6:30 p.m.. As in past years it will be at H.J.’s Banquet hall on Alexis Rd. in front of the old Northtowne Mall. If you have not yet sent in payment for the banquet, there is still time. The boosters pay for each band member, but other family members are $17 each. This covers your meal, soft drinks and dessert. This is a fun event that includes the annual awards and a slide show.
